What to Expect
Bear, wolf and lynx are three protected species of large carnivores, and even today the inhabitants of national parks and nature parks in Croatia. They live in a about twenty parks located in a relatively small area. Our country is rich in wildlife, preserved nature and biodiversity, and therefore, besides large carnivores, in Croatia we can also see deer, roe deer, mouflon, chamois, wild boar, fox, eagle … Croatia is also rich in water, with an abundance of rivers and wetlands which makes it a large source of flora and fauna. As such, we have a large number of ornithological reserves that are ideal for bird watching or, more recently called, birding.
