First day
Arrival to Osijek and afternoon check in at rural estate situated in the very center of the old and baroque part of the city called “Tvrđa“ ( The Fortress ). It was first built in the 18th century and now it has a touch of the Art Nouveau style, individual approach and modern facilities that will make your stay unique. After the short break and refreshments, we start our story with a walking tour in the company of a local guide and beer lover. The tradition of the brewery industry starts in the 17th century when “Osječka pivovara” was first opened and it is the oldest one in Croatia. Through the professional guidance of the owner, you are in for an awakening of your palate senses and beer tasting. Afterward, you are in for a dinner at the traditional restaurant. Relax and have fun in a friendly atmosphere with wine or beer and local live music. When you decide to get some sleep and prepare for your next day, your stay is just around the corner.
Second day
After the breakfast, we continue our adventure by visiting Baranja. It is time for you to get acquainted with the tradition of Baranja region. It is a center of Croatian wines and wineries! Prepare yourself for a treat. Our first stop is the Kneževi vineyards and a tour through winery “Belje “. Winery “Belje” is the combination of tradition and modern production of the largest local winemaking. Tour via new winery part, centuries-old cellars, wine roads and the views from Baranja Hill will leave you breathless. Afterward, we will visit the nearby place called Batina. The most northern point of Baranja with a view of
the Danube where the monument of the greatest battles of the Second World War is. We are continuing with a short drive to winery and restaurant in Zmajevac place. There you’ll have a walking tour with very interesting facts about the place – one of the most authentic places known for its wine preserving in “surduk”. After dinner and local music, we drive back to Osijek.
Third day
After the breakfast, check-out. A warm thank you for your visit and hope to see you next time for another adventure of wine and beer discoveries.
